David’s childhood in Hawaii provided early cultural smarts and sense for discovery. During college he interned in Japan with Fuji Iron & Steel. The early exposure to industry and immersion with a local family were eye-opening.
Always curious, he hitchhiked around the world twice before his 25th birthday working in odd jobs such as: Alaska oil field, Australia sheep ranch, South Africa fishing boat, Israel kibbutz, Switzerland hotel, and Japan language school.
David leveraged his networking and storytelling to a 30year career in sales and marketing with #1 toymaker Hasbro. He worked with design and marketing to launch dynamic brands such as Star Wars, Marvel, Nerf, My Little Pony, Pokémon, Transformers & Teletubbies in all retail channels.
David is an avid traveler, mountain climber, cultural photographer, biker, and golfer.
